Not everyone needs video all the time

Walk into any commercial production company and ask who their prospect is. The answer, almost always: every brand. It sounds right. Every brand could use video. And that is exactly the trap.

Could use is not needs now. A brand needs production when something changes — a product launches, an ambassador signs, a rebrand lands, a campaign window opens. Video demand is not a trait a company has. It is a circumstance a company is in, with intent and budget attached to a date.

Video is not a segment you sell into. It is a moment you catch.

This is why the market feels random to people inside it. The same brand that ignored you in March commissions six figures of work in August, and nothing about the brand changed. The circumstance did.

Once you see demand as dated events instead of company lists, the work inverts. You stop asking who might buy and start watching what just happened. The feed on my front page is that watching, run every morning.

The introduction that lands is the one that arrives inside the window. That is the whole leverage.
